Picture Coffee Table Questions
I have a ton of pictures of the Vietnam War (that I took), how do I get a publisher make a coffee table book?
I have had them and their negatives in boxes for the last ~40 years, since I took them in 1968-1970. I think people would like to see them in book form.
Does anyone know how I might go about getting in contact with a publisher that could help me get a book into stores?

Look up a book called “A Rumor of War” by Philip Caputo. He’s is an American author known for his experiences during the Vietnam War.
If you get a copy of his book you can find out who his publisher is and contact them with your idea. You may even be able to find out who his publisher is on the net and get an address or phone number on the net too.
Bring Your Coffee Table To Life
Look at your coffee table. Is it dead? Is it boring and lifeless? If so you need to bring it back to life. You need to add some accessories to your table that will make it jump up and be noticed. After all, your coffee table is the CENTER of the room. It’s what people see when they first walk in and it’s what they see the most of while they are visiting.
Books
Add some books to your coffee table as a conversation starter. You can find all kinds of interesting and unique books that people can look at and that you can discuss. Try finding a picture book that deals with the area you live in. Or try to find seasonal picture books (and put out the book that corresponds to the current season).
Photo albums are always good and can supply quite a bit of time for conversation.
Candles
Candles are a great accessory to add to your coffee table. Scented candles are the best. If you have children then cookie or cake scented candles always go over well. Also try to put out candles that correspond with either the season or the holiday you are in (or both).
Magazines
Put out interesting magazines to give people something to look at during down time. Try not to put out magazines that deal with movie stars or gossip (those magazines can be fun but they shouldn’t be put out for guests to read). Architectural magazines are always a beautiful read. Or you can look for the magazine from your state as there are quite a few state centric magazines out there.
